Tapas 101: Humus a la Barcelonés



Among other tapas, humus is frequently found on the menu of bars, cafés and restaurants. It is also the perfect contribution to any party. You can quickly prepare it yourself in 10 minutes. All you need is a mixer ("una batidora"). Pop the following in your mixing bowl:

  • 300g     cooked chickpeas ("garbanzos cocidos")
  • 3/4        big onion ("una cebolla grande")
  • 1           garlic cloves ("un diente de ajo")
  • 1           squeezed lemon ("un limón exprimido")
  • 5   tsp   Tahini ("la tahina")
  • 10 tbsp Olive oil ("aceite de oliva")
  • salt        ("el sal")
  • pepper  ("la pimienta")
